Video Poker rules
The rules and hand values at Video Poker
The online Video Poker may look like a mixture of a poker game and a slot machine to some. They play it on a machine where every hand needs a new bet and the payouts vary according to the bet’s size (which is similar to a slot machine). The game has the name Video Poker as one player plays against a machine that shows the cards of the player on the screen. And as Video Poker puts luck and skill together it really gives a player a mix of surprise and challenge.
As a player plays against a machine his only objective is to receive the best-paying hand. In the beginning of the game a player places a bet and then 5 cards from a standard fifty two card pack are dealt to him. The ranking of the hands is the only thing that coincides in Video Poker and table poker. One may throw away or hold as many cards as he wants by pressing the Hold button that is under every card. And the new cards are given instead of the cards that player did not want to hold.
Once the new cards are dealt to you, the new hand you have will be evaluated. And basing on the kind of hand you are holding you get some points.
There are the poker hand values below, starting the Royal Flush (which is the highest scoring hand) and to a Pair (the lowest hand).
